Conference on Corporate Governance in Africa
Probity & Integrity at the Dawn of the Millennium
The Joaquim Chissano Foundation will on 10th & 11th October 2008 host the Conference on Corporate Governance in Africa, with the theme; Probity & Integrity at the Dawn of the Millennium, at the UNIVERSITY EDUARDO MONDLANE CULTURAL CENTER - Maputo, Mozambique. The conference is aimed at consolidating the on going debate on Corporate Governance in Africa, and will be branded by speakers and participants who have moulded the current debate on Corporate Governance in the continent and the world.

The Foundation assists Floods Victims
Within the scope of assisting floods victims, the Joaquim Chissano Foundation, in partnership with GARSOM-Production and Services, Cervejas de Mocambique and Águas de Namaacha handed over to CENOE- (INGC/National Institute of Disaster Management)- Operative Centre for Emergency, various products which are destined to floods victims. The handover was affected on 19th of April, this year.
The Épsilon Investimentos donates a farm to the Foundation
On 12th May 2008, the Mozambican campany Épsilon Investimentos, SA signed with the Joaquim Chissano Foundation a donation agreement of an farm, located in Marracuene District (Bobole), Maputo Province, about 45 km from Maputo City.
The Foundation launches water fountains project in Zitundo
The Prem Rawat Foundation, an American philanthropic institution, donated to the Foundation USD 40.000,00 for implementation of a water supply project for the people of Zitundo.
